Strong, But poor design
I bought these magnets to use on cruise - I had found a similar knob magnet at a tiny store in Fredericksburg, Texas and wanted more as I loved using it on my recent cruise. These magnets, while similar to the others do not have a smooth edge bottom surface and when trying to remove them they easily scratch the surface of whatever object they are attached to. Too bad, they are strong but not worth the damage they cause.

Great for classroom use
I use these in my classroom as whiteboard magnets. Each one is strong enough to hold a posterboard to the whiteboard. I've had them about 5 months now and I have not seen any scratching of the whiteboard surface. They are much more powerful than the dinky magnets that can normally barely hold up a sheet of paper.
