This magnet worked well to locate studs for my tv mount. The wall was finished with a textured plaster so the stud finder didnt work. Magnet saved the day!

I'd been told by a friend that this is a cheap stud finder and wouldn't work well at all. He was wrong, it works very well. I'm getting one for another friend who' s doing some home remodeling.
