Master Magnetics Moves to New Location

Consolidating and expanding operations sets course for future growth

    April 30, 2018

Master Magnetics' brand new building, October 1976Since 1976, Master Magnetics, Inc. has been steadily growing into the leading single source of magnets and magnetic products throughout North America for commercial, industrial, and consumer use.

Starting out in a 4,000 sq. ft. manufacturing space with one primary product, the magnetic tool holder, Master Magnetics has grown to over 20 million products in stock, requiring the need to enlarge and consolidate their Colorado facilities.

Master Magnetics’ new home in Castle Rock brings all of their Colorado operations under one roof with room for growth

The move to the new headquarters in Castle Rock consolidates 85,000 buildings into one building of 99,000 sq. ft. and sets the foundation to support the anticipated growth in the near future while keeping the business in the town where it all started. “Customer service has always been our primary concern and combining all of our Colorado production, warehousing, and shipping operations in one location will allow us to maintain our high level of service as we grow,” said Jennifer Brown, Chief Operating Officer.

Master Magnetics East, in Marietta, Ohio, with 20,000 sq. ft. of production, warehousing, and shipping, will still operate as usual to provide cost-effective and efficient shipping for the eastern section of North America.

The spacious new headquarters for Master Magnetics includes 84,000 sq. ft. of production and warehouse space and 15,000 sq. ft. of office space. The move into the new location at 1211 Atchison Court, Castle Rock, CO 80109 is scheduled to be complete by May 31, 2018.

“In addition to consolidating our Colorado operations, we are able to layout our warehouse and production areas for optimal efficiency and product flow,” said Alex Onda, Supply Chain Manager for Master Magnetics. “With seven dock doors to simultaneously ship and receive the product, we can accommodate the increased volume we expect as we execute our strategic sales growth plans,” explained Onda.

Preparing to take it to the next level in 2018 with a state-of-the-art facility and an energized plan for the future“In addition to the usual logistical challenges inherent with a company move of this size, this one has been more like playing three-dimensional chess. We juggled a tear-down, move, and set-up of racking, have been transporting our inventory from two existing warehouses, and will continue to maintain our high level of customer service, all on an extremely tight timeline,” added Onda. “It will prove to be well worth it as everyone pulls together to set Master Magnetics up for another 40 years of growth.”

Industry Leader for over 40 Years

“Listening to our customers and developing products that are innovative and useful for them is a point of pride for us, and a core reason for our success and growth,” said Brown. “We provide the products, customer service and expertise to help our customers be successful. Our exclusive focus is on magnets, that’s all we do. Whether it is with off-the-shelf or custom-designed products, in all of our channels of business, customers rely on us to match the right magnet for their application to achieve an effective and cost-efficient solution,” explained Brown.

    Magnetic products
are marketed under the Magnet Source® brand, a registered trademark of Master Magnetics that represents exceptional quality, expertise, and customer service.

“This move is all part of the plan to ensure our ability to take advantage of the many opportunities that are before us and achieve our forecasted goals,” said Brown. “We’ve had major periods of growth before, and we’ve learned that if we live by our core values of Integrity, Responsiveness, and Teamwork and keep following our proven blueprint for success, we’ll get it all done successfully,” Brown added.
